Cast (Friday Night / Saturday Matinee)

Steffi Townsend (Mary Poppins) is thrilled to join her talented son Thor (Michael Banks) in Mary Poppins! Past roles include Sandy (Grease), Little Red (Into the Woods) and Ursula (The Little Mermaid). She trained at USC, ACT, and the British American Dramatic Academy, and is a proud member of SAG/AFTRA. When she's not singing Disney songs, she can be found writing Disney books or playing with her family at the Disney parks - where she enjoys her spoonfuls of sugar in the form of churros and dole whips. She wishes to thank her son for the theatrical experience of a lifetime. Anything Can Happen if you Let It!

 

Chaz Simonds (Bert) After a five year break from theater, Chaz is thrilled to be performing again with this fantastic cast and crew. A sweep is as lucky, as lucky can be!

Kelsey Magaña Levintow (Winifred Banks) is enjoying a “jolly holiday" with NBT! Her favorite roles include Maggie in A Chorus Line (NTC), Ensemble in Guys & Dolls (MMTC), Babe Williams in The Pajama Game (MMTC) , Marian Paroo in The Music Man (Stapleton) and Mrs. Cohen in RENT (MST). In 2022, Kelsey performed Carmina Burana with the Marin Symphony Chorus. She acted, directed, and was an executive board member with The College Players from 2011-2015. James Montellato (George Banks) is excited to be returning to the stage for North Bay Theatrics’ production of Mary Poppins. It’s his first acting role in quite some time and he is thrilled to be a part of this musical with such a wonderful cast of individuals.

 

Thor Townsend (Michael Banks) is excited to mark his twentieth production in the Marin theatre community! Favorite roles include Le Fou (Beauty and the Beast), Wonka (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and Cinderella's Prince (Into the Woods), and just last weekend he performed as Sebastian in NBT's The Little Mermaid! He has appeared in campaigns for Disneyland's Galaxy's Edge and Disney World's Galactic Starcruiser, and he dreams of playing a practically perfect Phantom of the Opera in the West End. If you reach for the heavens, you get the stars thrown in!

Maggie Foote (Jane Banks) is a proud and passionate member of the North Bay Theatrics and Marin County theater community. Favorite past roles include Katherine (Newsies), Lily St. Regis (Annie), and The Wardrobe (Beauty and the Beast). Mary Poppins is Maggie’s 13th production in her 3 years on the stage, and she is thrilled to be part of the incredible cast and crew bringing NBT’s mission to life. 

Michele Blazek (Mrs. Brill) is delighted to return to the Marin stage for North Bay Theatrics'  Production of Mary Poppins. Past favorite roles include Marian Paroo (The Music Man), Mrs. McAfee (Bye, Bye Birdie), and Sister Margaretta (Sound of Music), and Giuseppe (The Most Happy Fella). When Michele is not performing, she serves Stanford Healthcare as the Director of Quality Assurance and Risk Management.

Adrian Wilson (Robertson Ay) has performed in Marin School of the Arts (MSA) productions. Adrian is a sophomore at Novato High School, teasing that his portrayal of Robertson Ay is method acting. 

 

Katie Wickes (Miss Andrew - she/her) is most excited to be a tap-dancing penguin with these silly, fabulous humans. Recent credits include RENT (dream role of Fur Vendor), The Rocky Horror Show (SFBATCC Award - Choreography), Legally Blonde (Theatre Bay Area Award Nominee - Choreography), Spring Awakening (SFBATCC Award Nominee - Choreography), and Pippin (other dream role of Pig #3) with MMTC, and Grease, Mamma Mia, and Beauty and the Beast with The Mountain Play Association. Evvy Carlstrom-March (Birdwoman - they/them) Afterr three years teaching with the company, Evvy is thrilled to make their NBT stage debut! They are a performer, as well as a voice teacher striving to encourage young voices to be confident. They graduated from the BFA Music Theatre program at AMDA, and are thrilled to feed the birds with this cast of characters.  National tour credits: Musical Thrones a Parody of Ice and Fire, Penguin Goes to Flight School. John Griffin (Admiral Boom, Chairman) has been involved with Community theater in Marin County for over 10 years and is thrilled to be performing with this cast and crew of Mary Poppins as Bank Chairman and Admiral Boom. John was most recently on stage as Sir Bedevere in Spamalot at Novato Theater Company and Brother Jeremiah in Something Rotten at 6th Street Playhouse in Santa Rosa. John remembers fondly 10 years ago when he last performed at The Playhouse as Mr Bumble in Oliver with both his sons, Jack and Michael, in the cast. Times does fly, hope you all enjoy the show!

 

Monica Burrowes (Mrs. Corry) is having a splendiferous time in her first NBT show, Mary Poppins! She has previously been seen in Marin theater productions by Stapleton Theater Company, Novato Theater Company, Theater at Large, Mountain Play, and many others.  More typically found in the director’s chair, she has directed children’s theater locally for YES Foundation, Marilyn Izdebski Productions, Kent Middle School, KD Musical Theater, and RVCS. She was the founder and artistic director of Destination Theatre Company in Santa Barbara, and is currently a middle school drama teacher at Miller Creek Middle School. Go Panthers! *Jazzhands!*

Milo Schoenbohm (Nelius & Van Hustler - he/him) Mary Poppins marks Milo’s 4th show with North Bay Theatrics. His recent roles include the Genie in Aladdin, the Cheshire Cat and the Knave in Alice in Wonderland, and Spot Conlon, Hannah, Jacobi and Bill in Newsies. Milo enjoys writing and creating art in all forms. He looks forward to attending Marin School of the Arts in the fall.

 

Demitrij Montaño (Northbrook) is 11 years old and Mary Poppins is his second play.  In Annie, Jr.,  he enjoyed playing the antagonist, Rooster. Whether it’s a conniving trickster, or an honest, humble person, he feels like he can portray different personas successfully. Demitrij enjoy playing music and coming up with his own fictional characters. He's a big fan of Elvis and Charlie Chaplin and enjoys dressing like the times of yesteryear. Upon meeting and speaking with him, every adult mentions that he should look into being an actor or entertainer. Well, he's here!

Exy Schoenbohm (Danny Corey, Policeman - he/him) Mary Poppins marks Exy’s 4th show with North Bay Theatrics. His recent roles include the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland, Prince Abdullah in Aladdin, and Theodore Roosevelt and Morris Delancy in Newsies. Exy enjoys doing parkour and making people laugh. He is excited to share the stage with his mom for the first time.

 

Daisy Farnsworth (Annie Corey) is 11 years old and has two brothers, Tom who is 7 and Gilbert who is 13.  Daisy also has two cats, so as you can imagine, her house can be pretty crazy at times. She plays basketball, softball, gymnastics, rock climbing, as well as theater, but theater is her favorite. Daisy has been doing theater with the amazing North Bay Theatrics since she was 8 years old.  With Ashley Kimball, she has done Beauty and the Beast, Music Man, Into the Woods, and of course Mary Poppins. 

 

Laura Nethercutt (Miss Lark) Delighted to be playing Miss Lark with my precious Willoughby.  This show has heart, a bit of drama and the spirit of goodness.  Favorite previous roles include Yente (Fiddler) and Mae Peterson (Bye Bye Birdie), but the best part of sharing the stage are the people who return, year after year, show after show - to collaborate in creating joy.  Grateful for family and friends who circle back to the Playhouse with enthusiasm in supporting community theater.  I'm glad you're here! 

 

Remy Gaunt (Wiloughby) Mary Poppins is Remy’s first production with NBT, well his first production in general - outside of the living room. He is thrilled to be bringing his antics and enthusiasm to the Willoughby and Ensemble roles. Outside of theater, Remy can be found traipsing through the woods of Marin County, fashioning Lego creations and enjoying the life of 5 enormously.

Elliott Gaunt (Special Delivery Messenger) An accomplished jiu jitsu gray belt, Elliott is thrilled for his first foray into the world of theater arts with NBT’s Mary Poppins. His role as the policeman (Sat night / Sunday) and messenger are providing wonderful opportunities to share his enthusiasm with the population of Marin at large.  When not performing, Elliott enjoys playing baseball, whittling, bone collecting, drawing and illustration.  

 

Beans Fitzpatrick (Ensemble - he/they) is fifteen and handler to Service Dog in Training, Scuba Diver. Beans also has cats, rats, tarantulas, a mouse, fish, and a second dog. Beans was diagnosed with several disabling conditions between 2019 & 2022, and until then did Rock climbing, theater, and horseback, as well as many other physical activities. The diagnosis shut down his life completely. This is Beans' first show since then, and he is excited to be doing it with his K9 by my side, and is so grateful for the accommodations and support North Bay Theatrics has given.

 

Scuba Diver (Ensemble) Hi, I’m Scuba Diver! I’m a 11 month old golden retriever in training as a multipurpose service dog for my handler, Beans! I have yet to meet a person I don't like, and meeting everyone working on this show has been very fun, especially when we get to play (when I’m not working!) I even get to wear a costume. This is my first play, so wish me luck!

Megan Schoenbohm (Ensemble) Following a 23-year absence from the community theater stage, Megan makes her return in what she describes as her “dream role” of Mary Poppins (Sat Night / Sunday). Her most recent role was Snoopy in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown in her hometown of Youngstown, Ohio. No stranger to the stage, however, Megan performs music professionally for audiences across the Bay Area and beyond, including last summer’s solo performance at Wolf Trap. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Megan is an award-winning multi- instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, with four children’s albums. She is a voting member of the Recording Academy.

Jenny Boynton (Ensemble - she/her) is excited to step in time in her first show in a little over a year.  As a native to Marin County Jenny has performed with many companies in the area including The Mountain Play Association, Stapleton Theater Company and Marin Musical Theatre Company. She received her AA in Drama and Dance from The College of Marin and her BA in Music from Dominican University. You can usually find Jenny directing with Marin Musical Theatre Company, bringing up new thespians with The YES Foundation, or out and about with the reason for her acting hiatus (her 1 year old son, Asher). 

 

Katelyn Johnson (Ensemble) Returning to theater after a bit of a hiatus, Katelyn is excited for her first performance with NBT as Winifred in Mary Poppins (Sat Night / Sunday). Sharing this experience with two of her children has been wonderful and she is filled with gratitude for this supportive, inspiring and incredibly talented theater community. 

 

Amelia Flandermeyer (Ensemble) Amelia is having a great time in her first community theater production with her role as Michael (Sat Night / Sunday).  When not singing and acting Amelia can be found on the pitching mound of a softball field, protecting the goal on the soccer pitch or traveling and hanging out with her parents and big sister!  She loves her role as Michael and is thrilled to perform alongside so many talented and kind humans!  Amelia is looking forward to graduating from 5th grade, turning 11 and beginning middle school in the fall!

 

Annabelle Green (Ensemble) Annabelle is thrilled to be a part of this Mary Poppins production! She’s been doing musical theatre since age 5, and she loves it! Some of her favorite roles include Annie in “Annie," Jack in "Into the Woods," Flounder in "The Little Mermaid," and Michael in “Elf." When she’s not performing in musicals, Annabelle enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with friends, and playing with her dogs. She hopes you enjoy the show!

 

Deb Warren (Ensemble) is thrilled to be working and playing with the fantastic cast and crew at NBT!  Past favorite roles include Baroness Schrader (The Sound of Music), Mrs. Paroo (The Music Man), Grace (Annie), Rose (Secret Garden), Kathleen (Ragtime), and Queen (Cinderella).  She is delighted to be a part of this collaborative group that appreciates the magic and "spoonful of sugar" in every moment. 

 

Iris Klein (Ensemble) is excited to be playing the role of Robertson Ay (Sat Night / Sunday). Prior to this show, Iris has appeared in Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Into the Woods, Music Man, Wizard of Oz, and Lion King.  She most recently played the role of Scuttle in North Bay Theatrics' production of Little Mermaid. When not acting, Iris enjoys swimming, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends.

Amy Dietz (Ensemble) When not underwater communing with the fishies or working for the County, Amy loves being on stage and floating under bubbles in an inflatable unicorn. Rrrrrrrautpolex! For Dad, always.

Artistic Team

Ashley Kimball (Director) A theatre director who grew up in Stockton, California, Ashley Kimball enjoys teaching people of all ages and skills theatre. Ashley grew up in a family surrounded by theatre, and has Directed young people throughout the Bay Area for the last decade. Ashley holds a Bachelor's of Theatre Arts from Sonoma State University and is accredited in Early Childhood Education. She loves providing a safe space for all people to create and imagine.
